The Central Dispatch Associate coordinates the transportation of customer orders between Amazon Fulfillment Centers and other third-party locations, like grocery stores and restaurants, ensuring each order is picked up and delivered on time.

Shift Details:
  • This role is a Flexible Part-Time
  • Scheduled days are posted daily and weekly. You will be able to select the days you want to work. (Subject to business needs)
  • Ability to work nights, weekends and holidays
  • There are no guaranteed minimum weekly hours
  • Get shift requests and accept them right on your phone

What it’s like to work as a Central Dispatch Associate: 
  1. Coordinate the pick-up and delivery of orders
  2. Interpret information from different sources to determine customer orders and delivery capacity requirements, then adjust as necessary and execute accordingly.
  3. Communicate with delivery partners ensuring on-time delivery
  4. Coordinate with Amazon Fulfillment Center teams to ensure orders depart on time with zero defects
  5. Solve for planned and unplanned events (traffic, weather, sporting, community) leading to anomalies outside normal dispatch operations
  6. Identifies exceptions and escalates to management
  7. Completes intra-window reports using standard tools/process
  8. Candidates must be flexible to work weekends and/or evenings
Job Requirements
  1. Must be at least 18 years old
  2. Ability to read and speak basic English
  3. Strong Computer Skills
  4. Strong Writing Skills
  5. Experience communicating with diverse audiences
  6. Ability to learn quickly in a fast-paced environment
  7. Candidates must be flexible to work weekends and/or evenings

Basic Qualifications
  1. High School diploma or equivalent
 
 
Preferred Qualifications 
  1. Strong computer skills using a transportation management system as well as Microsoft Office products.
  2. Good teamwork mentality: able to build trustworthy and supportive working relationships.
  3. Strong logical thinking, analytical skills, and problem solving skills.
  4. Five years of experience in customer support and/or distribution operations.
  5. Experience in transportation/dispatch industry is a plus.
  6. Strong computer skills using a transportation management system as well as Microsoft Office products.
  7. Ability to learn quickly in a fast-paced environment.
